About

A journey between philosophy and formal systems.

Professor, researcher and public philosopher. A recurring question guides my work: what can different logics help us understand about reasoning, language and reality?

I am an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) and a Collaborating Professor in the Graduate Programme in Philosophy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ).

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (UFOP), and master’s and doctoral degrees in Philosophy from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). I completed postdoctoral research at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). I also served as a Temporary Professor at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO).

My interests centre on the relationship between Philosophy and Mathematical Logic. I research the development of formal systems — especially non-classical logics — and their applications in philosophical debates.
